Thursday Radio Roundup: No Rain, Freshmen & Candy

This week is so 90s alt rock you'll whip out your flannel.  I found a new radio station on my little corner (armpit) of the world (New Jersey) that plays the best combo of 90s alt rock and current indie rock AKA heaven.  Which is why this Thursday Radio Roundup actually has good tunes.

The Verve Pipe - The Freshmen: We were merely freshmen, such a downer.  Starting off sad because it can only get happier.  Well I can't think of too many happy and exciting 90s alt rocks so I guess it'll have to stay at this level.

Blind Melon - No Rain:  The bumble bee.  I was a bumble bee for Halloween once...it did not look like that.  Such a classic song slightly overrated and underrated all at the same time.

Marcy Playground - Sex & Candy:  Best descriptions ever: disco superfly.  This music video surely is a dream--it is literally a nightmare but definitely a favorite song. It is really putting me in the mood....for some candy... smarties anyone?

I don't need a bedroom to prove my womanliness.  I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain. - Audrey Hepburn
