Old Music Tuesday: The Fresh Prince's Bizarre Lullaby

Now this is a post all about how my Tuesday got me dancing all around, so I'd like you to take a minute and just sit right there and watch some videos from a time called the 90s.....     Just a random sampling of tunes, I hope you enjoy!

DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - Parents Just Don't Understand:  This past week was my cousin's birthday and he LOVES The Fresh Prince.  So I wanted to give him a shout-out in a way he'd appreciate like bell-bottomed Brady Bunch trousers.

Shawn Mullins - Lullaby:  You know it is going to be a good song when he starts it off by talking...he doesn't actually sing until a whole minute into the song.  The chorus is so good his talking makes it such a waste of a good song.  I promise you'll recognize the chorus (assuming you listened to the radio in the 1990's).

OMC - How Bizarre:  This song is horrible, I don't even like it a little and because of that I was apprehensive to include this song.  BUT I just found out the word they say in this song is "bizarre" and now you know.

Eve 6 - Inside Out:  Want to put my tender heart in a blender.  This music video kind of makes me crave fast foods and want to go roller skating.  The band name supposedly references an episode of the X-Files, thanks Wikipedia.

And that shows that there are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday presents. - Through the Looking Glass

Old Music Tuesday: Storm Edition

So between Sandy and Athena (the storm, not my friend) I have fallen behind on my posts.  I tried to write a post on my phone while we had no power for the week but that clearly failed.  Anyways let's try to forget this mess-by listening to songs about storms? Okay I may not have thought this out too well but here it goes...

Something Corporate - Hurricane: "So pull me under your weather patterns your cold fronts and the rain don't matter because a sunburns what I needed."  I clearly am not making a glorious 90's post...this is just a few rando songs that seem stormy.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh):  I was going to do Storm in a Teacup but then I wouldn't have any songs for Athena (the blizzard, not my friend)!  Heyooo..

The Kooks - Stormy Weather: I keep singing You Don't Love Me instead of this song.  I can never remember which of their songs are which.

Counting Crows - Rain King:  Okay so this is definitely a stretch but I just love this song so much.  I belong anywhere but in between...these stormz.

I actually have all of these songs on my iTunes, which isn't usually the case.  This also isn't a usual post.

I can sketch up a storm, and I'm very involved in how clothes are constructed, but I have a short attention span. - Michael Kors
