OMT: Omarion and My Own Worst Enemy

Unfortunately I only have 3 songs for this week BUT check out the bonus YouTube videos I threw in there.  And I'm starting off with one of the best alt rock songs of the 90s.

Lit - My Own Worst Enemy: Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?  How can you not be obsessed with this song?  This had to be the college anthem of the late 90s.  Kinda jealous but I guess Asher Roth's I Love College wasn't so bad.

Des'ree - You Gotta Be: You gotta be something, you gotta be something else and something else.  It is a super cute tune and not much else but enjoy it.

B2K & P. Diddy - Bump, Bump, Bump:  Well hello there Omarion, looking fine as always.  I think you should be the one going bump, bump, bump.  I remember you way back when you were diggin those Corn Pops.  Oh and that guy..Sean Combs or Puff Daddy or P. Diddy...one of those.

OMT: She Likes Me For Me (not because I look like Tyson Beckford)

Don't worry if you scroll down there IS a picture of Tyson Beckford and it is okay if all you do is look at his picture.  BUT, you should probs give a listen to these oldies but mostly goodies (The Corrs song isn't really a fave but the others absolutely are).

Blessid Union of Souls - Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me For Me): Not because I look like Tyson Beckford...  I think I knew all of the words but had no clue the name of the song or the band name...  BUT ISN'T THIS SONG THE GREATEST??

Samantha Mumba - Baby Come On Over: Not to be confused with Christina's Come On Over featured in my Battle of the Pop Princesses post, not as good but almost there.  I like how someone commented on youtube under this video that music today is crap, I wouldn't exactly consider early 2000 as the age of good music....more like a guilty pleasure machine.

The Corrs - Breathless:  So this is not Shania?  Apparently they are sisters and a brother from the same mother. So go on, go on and watch the video.

Next - Too Close: Skip to 39 seconds in for the actual song and you'll absolutely recognize it.  Their second album was called "Welcome II Nextasy" which may be the best album title ever, just saying.  And finally can R&B boy groups have a come back PLEASE, if pop boy bands can then the dreamy R&B groups should be next (mini pun. ..ish).  I could def go for a new young version of Boyz II Men.

...she probs only likes you BECAUSE you look like Tyson Beckford...

I don't actually go that way, though I notice a lot of people think I do. But um, you know what, if I'mma do it, I'm going for Obama. - Tyson Beckford

OMT: Take a Picture It's The Spice Girls

I was obviously inspired by the Olympics closing ceremony appearance by the Spice Girls to start off this Old Music Tuesday post.  The rest of the songs are completely irrelevant 90s (or early 2000s) tunes, ya dig?

Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There:  Clearly the Spice Girls were my 90s heroes and here they are as strange sexy superheroes.  I saw them when I was a young thing (see below)  Yes that does say VIP, jealous?  It is hard to look at Victoria Beckham now compared to Midnight Miss Suki --I mean Posh Spice but anyways I still thought they were awesome at the closing ceremony...GIRL POWER!

Joe featuring Mystical - Stutter:  Where were you late last night??? Remember this one? I'll know you're lying when you stutter.  PS Mystical ruins this song for me...

Meredith Brooks - Bitch:  Hopefully you already know that this is NOT by Alanis Morissette.  I think this is the best song to come out of the 90s.  I'm gonna put on my combat boots and rock out now (I obviously do not own combat boots).

Filter - Take A Picture: Cause I won't remember.   Def want to swim with fishies now.... Thought I would leave this on a chill note.

but--here is the picture of my Spice Girls ticket:
