OMT: Never Ever Take Me There; No More Crash and Burn

Here is a post inspired by Empire Girls and some of my old CDs I embarrassingly own:

3LW - No More (Baby I'ma Do Right): "Blowin up my pager"....yeahhh the good old days.  3LW star Adrienne Bailon was also in the Cheetah Girls, dated Rob Kardashian AND now has a show on the Style Network.

Savage Garden - Crash and Burn:  One of the many great CDs I own, along with Hanson and the Rugrats Movie Soundtrack (see next song).  Can this music video be any weirder though..I would like to go back to before I watched this video so I can enjoy this song again--because I LOVE THIS SONG.

Mya featuring Blackstreet - Take Me There:  This was on the Rugrats Movie Soundtrack and IT IS SO GOOD.  I want to play with a giant xylophone and blocks.  I totally watched Nickelodeon when I was way old.

All Saints - Never Ever:  I'm starting to think I thought this song was by the Spice Girls, I can't be the only one.  The problem growing up was that I knew all of these songs but I had NO CLUE what group sang it so finding these songs again to share with you is not easy.

OMT: A Capella Style

Found this gem on Jezebel who found it on Buzz Feed and I am passing it on to you:

Because I am so ambitious...I will go above and beyond and give you even more 90s  a Capella medleys:

Kinda horrible but good, I think, 90s rap medley:

Extremely talented, a little strange (see bottom middle) dance hits:

There are a lot more of mostly college groups but the quality was so bad it hurt...sorrry!

We didn't realize there were that many boy bands until we started touring in Europe.  I don't think we were ever affected by it since a lot of the groups in Europe didn't really sing live, but we did and would perform a Capella as well. - A.J. McLean

OMT: Don't Be Fooled By The Rocks That I Got

Here is a special Old Music Tuesday with the fabulous Jenny from the block (the American Idol block? the Bennifer block? the Gigli block?)

As a youngin I thought that JLo was a singer who tried to make a movie (The Wedding Planner) or three and was meh.  Until I saw her in Selena in Spanish class (and on Lifetime like every year since then) only to realize she was an actress first...  Selena is my second favorite movie I watched in school with She's Too Young obviously in first.

So here are some of my favorite JLo classics...

If You Had My Love: was on the radio this morning hence why I had to focus the whole post on Ms. Lopez.

Waiting For Tonight:  Oh ohoh...I think there are constipated ladies and dudes with nose rings in her music video...awk.  Apparently they survived Y2K by going to the jungle.

I'm Real: Featuring the one and only Ja Rule who gets in trouble for guns and pot and likes to start fights with other rappers.

All I Have: To keep it going with the duets I figure I would go with this one featuring the lovely NCIS:LA star LL.  At least when Ludacris acts he goes by Chris "Ludacris" Bridges (I know this because I have a poster for Crash in my room...).   But I really like LL so no offense you are still cool, J.
