Old/New Music Tuesday: A Cappella REMIX

Because FINALLY my favorite group won the sing-off

Because how did the Backbeats not win...

Because how did the Beelzebubs not win...
(Okay actually they may have won...they did the arrangements and backup vocals for The Warblers on Glee.  You can stalk a number of their performances here like I have done (Personal Favorite is Bills, Bills, Bills (Leave me alone I have their cd... )))

SO now back to this season...I started by being OBSESSED (and wanting to be a member of ) Delilah because of this performance...
...unfortunately no performance could compare to this epicness so eventually I moved on...

DRUMROLL PLEASE....to Pentatonix
Obviously only after they did the Britney Spears Medly which changed my life...
and finally my love for them EXPLODED, my toxic love, oh baby baby...

So super congrats to Pentatonix...I would buy your album (even if my bffl thinks the lead looks like an anime character..)  Also check out them doing ET because this was when I found out this song was by Katy Perry, oh and when I started to like it.. and check them out doing Love Lockdown cause it is cool.

I know not everyone will like me, but this is who I am so if you don't like it, TOUGH! - Britney Spears

Turkeygiving

SORRY I FELL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH...

To make up for it I will do a THEMED post, stellar!

In honor of Turkey Day here are some of the results/things I learned when I googled "weird turkey."

Some weird turkey facts from a children's website Kidz World:
-"Turkeys have heart attacks. When the Air Force was conducting test runs and breaking the sound barrier, fields of turkeys would drop dead"
(Obviously starting off with something super uplifting..)
-"Turkeys can drown if they look up when it is raining"
(Keeping the positive thoughts going...)

Apparently Thanksgiving brings out the geeks and pie...here are my two favorites from Popular Mechanic's article about The Top 17 Wild, Fun Thanksgiving DIY Projects:
-Because making a pie in a 3-D cosehedron shape is completely normal.  And is anyone else wondering how it doesn't fall out?...
 modular pie-cosahedron
-It is very important to realize that when making a large pie...there is never enough crust...so in order to solve this problem geeky math was used to create a fractal shape that allows for much more crust:
giant fractal pecan pie

Don't worry the jocks also make an appearance for Thanksgiving with strange sports as described by Yahoo's Sports page:
-Frozen Turkey Bowling!  For when simply eating turkey is not good enough:

-Also in Indianapolis people like to workout using frozen turkeys.  It may be for charity but it is still totally weird.

And finally for the jewelry lovers, especially fans of Juicy Couture...you can get your Thanksgiving charms at Amazon:
-The turkey dinner charm for the Thanksgiving obsessed and also a pumpkin pie charm for dessert:
Juicy Couture Turkey Charm Limited Edition 2010

"I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way.  I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land." - Jon Stewart

Old [GUILTY PLEASURE] Music Tuesday

I suppose all the music I post tends to be guilty pleasures but these may be some of the worst and some of the most random.  Feel free to judge away but you won't change my mind about my love/embarrassment for these great works of ...foolishness.

Jonas Brothers - SOS: I originally wanted to use Burnin' Up because I may or may not know all of the words but right now I just want to listen to this classic even more.  (It was a camp song...)

Ashlee Simpson - La La: She may not be the most talented singer (remember SNL...) but this and Boyfriend are just super great for girl's night aaand not much more.

Busted - What I Go To School For: You may not have had the pleasure of hearing this one before but I was in love in middle school (thought they were pop punk....thought that pop punk was cool...).  I was SO cool that I even went to their album release party and still have a poster with their autographs on my wall... (ALSO the Jo Bros do a cover of this where every inappropriate part is made, well, boring.)

New Found Glory - My Friends Over You:  Too soon? I thought I would pick a song with a message so here it is:

"I don't know anything about music.  In my line you don't have to." - Elvis Presley
